Hello all! Awhile back I mentioned I might be having a contest for you writers who’d like to be published with a print, NY publisher. Well, I have the details!
My Kensington editor, Megan Records, has kindly agreed to be the judge in a writing contest. On October 28th romance writers will be able to enter the first paragraph of their unpublished romance manuscript in the comments section of my blog. From those entered, Megan will pick around 20 entries.
Those twenty will then send their first page to me. From those 20, five first pagers will be picked. Those five will then send their first chapter and Megan will pick one person’s first chapter as the winner. That winner will get the chance to get their first three chapters read by Megan. Of course this does not guarantee you will get published but you will get your partial in front of a Kensington editor.
So get your first chapters polished, or at the very least, your first paragraph. Please only enter books that are finished! And if you’re published with a NY print publisher, sorry, you’re not eligible. I’ll offer more details next week.
