Today I attended my romance writers meeting. Our group is rather large and there’s always someone interesting to see; Karen White, Wendy Wax, Berta Platas and Stephanie Bond are only a handful of the amazing writers who attended this month’s meeting. The group also has a wonderful program that hooks up readers and writers. An author sends a volunteer his/her book. That volunteer reads the book, then at the meeting, gets up and raves about it to all the attendees. So I want to give a special thanks to Tamara, who, like me, hates public speaking, but went ahead and raved about my book anyway.

For you writers, if you want to attend a conference that’s not expensive and intimidating, their Moonlight and Magnolias conference has amazing speakers and editors/agents.

But this months meeting was even better because I did a book signing! My first book signing ever! Along with my friend and fellow Kensington author Beverley Kendall, I signed all my copies on hand. For an author, a book signing is rather scary. You never know if you’re going to end up sitting there alone, feeling like a loser. I’m so thankful to those who stopped by and to those who picked up a book.

You all know I love autographed books and whenever I give a book away here, I try to give one away that has been autographed. With that said… I have an autographed copy of books one and two of Stephanie Bond’s Body Movers Series. The books have mystery, suspense and a whole lot of fun. Leave a comment with your name and email addy and I’ll pick one winner. But be warned… you will immediately want to read the next four in the series!
